Dr Nitish Mishra

Profile

Dr Nitish Mishra is an experienced Endocrinologist, Diabetologist and specialist in Internal Medicine. He obtained his MBBS from Nagpur University in India and went to the United Kingdom for his postgraduate training. He was subsequently selected in the National Training Scheme for specialist training in Endocrinology and General Medicine at the London Deanery. In 2011, he obtained his certificate of completion for specialist training in Endocrinology and General Medicine at Kings College Hospital in London.

Dr Mishra’s clinical interests are in the management of diabetes, parathyroid, thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and gonadal disorders including Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, hypercalcaemia, male and female hypogonadism and thyroid cancer.

His expertise also includes the management of patients with obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, electrolyte disturbances, osteoporosis, type 1 and 2 diabetes, hypoglycaemia, gender dysphoria and more.

Dr Mishra worked as a consultant in Endocrinology at North Bristol NHS Trust before moving to Singapore in January 2012. Prior to joining Nobel Diabetes, Thyroid and Endocrine Centre, Dr Mishra was a Consultant Endocrinologist at Singapore Medical Group based at Mount Elizabeth Novena hospital, Raffles Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Singapore.

He has been involved as a principal and sub-investigator in DSRB-approved prospective and retrospective research. He was also appointed as a clinical lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. In the past six years, he has devoted his time predominantly to clinical work and patient care.
