Dr Tng Eng Loon is a Specialist in Endocrinology with extensive qualifications and clinical expertise in diabetes, hormonal, and metabolic disorders. He obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2004 and completed his Master in Medicine (Internal Medicine) at NUS in 2011. In 2015, he passed the Specialty Certificate Examination in Endocrinology and Diabetes conducted by the Royal College of Physicians. He later obtained two Master of Science degrees with Distinction, one in Endocrinology and Diabetes from Queen Mary University of London, and another in Evidence Based Healthcare from University College London where he was on the Dean’s List.

Dr Tng believes in providing evidence-based holistic care for patients and customises guidelines to meet his patients’ needs.
He began his career after completing his Basic and Advanced Specialty Training in Endocrinology in Singapore. He went on to serve at Changi General Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), where he led the Osteoporosis Service and was instrumental in shaping its care pathways. In 2019, under the Ministry of Health’s Health Manpower Development Programme, he completed a fellowship at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and the Oxford Centre for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He later worked as a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist at Raffles Hospital from 2022 to 2025.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr Tng has contributed to national healthcare policy as a member of the expert group behind the Ministry of Health’s Appropriate Care Guide on Osteoporosis in 2018. He served as Secretary of the Endocrine and Metabolic Society of Singapore from 2015 to 2016 and is currently Secretary of the Chapter of Endocrinologists under the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and remains actively involved in professional bodies such as the Academy of Medicine of Singapore, Endocrine and Metabolic Society of Singapore, Osteoporosis Society of Singapore, and the Cochrane Collaboration.
