Dr Fung Chak Yuen is a Senior Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Head and Neck Surgeon at Nobel Ear, Nose and Throat Centre. He completed his medical training at the National University of Singapore and obtained a Master of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology. During his residency, he attained membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. Dr Fung is an accredited specialist by the Singapore Medical Council and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
He manages a broad spectrum of Ear, Nose and Throat conditions, including nasal allergies, sinus disorders, deviated nasal septum, nasal obstruction, nasal trauma, snoring and sleep-related breathing issues, hearing loss, thyroid conditions and facial nerve palsy. Awarded the prestigious Ministry of Health Scholarship for fellowship training, Dr Fung completed an advanced clinical fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the renowned Asan Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea, under the mentorship of Professor Jang Yong Ju. His fellowship focused on rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty techniques that restore both the form and function of the nose.
Dr Fung completed his specialist training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in Singapore and subsequently served as a Senior Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Beyond his clinical practice, he has made significant contributions to the field of ENT through multiple publications in international peer-reviewed journals and has been invited to speak at numerous local and overseas conferences.
Passionate about medical education and nurturing the next generation of doctors and Otorhinolaryngologists, Dr Fung has held several academic appointments, including Assistant Professor and Posting Lead for Otorhinolaryngology at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University; Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore; and Core Clinical Faculty Member for the National Healthcare Group Otorhinolaryngology Residency Programme.
